Code of Conduct

The 33rd International Workshop on Deep Inelastic Scattering and Related Topics (DIS2026) is dedicated to creating a welcoming, respectful, safe experience for everyone.

The Workshop values and promotes the inherent worth of every person and group; fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect and embraces diversity. We have this commitment to make our workshop a safe environment. When you attend DIS2026 you are also making a commitment to these principles.

We gain strength from diversity and welcome new ideas by fostering collaboration among groups with different skills.

We invite you to help making DIS2026 a place that is welcoming and respectful to all participants, regardless of race, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, national origin, ethnicity, political affiliation, or religion. By creating an inclusive environment, we can make the most of our program, building an interesting networking and maintaining the cultural richness of our scientific community.

By participating in DIS2026, all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers commit to following this code of conduct at the conference, as well as in related online communities and social media. Participants asked to stop harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Any person who feels they have been harassed may report the situation to two advisors appointed by the conference organizers, who will be introduced at the beginning of the event. If a case is reported, the advisors will review the circumstances. They will consult with the people involved: those who have experienced harassment and wish to propose ways to address the issue, as well as with the person accused of harassment. The advisors will inform the conference chair and co-chairs.

If the case is not resolved satisfactorily, then after due consideration the conference chair and co-chairs may take whatever action they deem appropriate, including issuing a warning or expelling the individual from the conference without refund. Such decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
